The Specimen Museum is a 501(c)3 that was founded in 2018 to bring fun, interactive specimen-based educational experiences to schools in and around Chicago. The Mobile Museum program functioned as a hands-on specimen activity until the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020. No longer able to offer in-person programming, we pivoted to offering a socially-distanced owl pellet dissection DIY activity for anyone with a student who wants to participate. Visit our homepage to request an owl pellet kit for your child or a bunch of them for an entire classroom of kids. The owl pellet kits are funded entirely on donations.
